I am excited to announce the upcoming release of Database Health Monitor v3.0, a major update that adds new functionality and makes monitoring SQL Server more powerful and easier to use. This release builds on years of feedback from the SQL Server community and introduces several new features designed to give DBAs and developers deeper visibility into the health of their databases.
One of the biggest additions in version 3.0 is the new DB Assistant. This feature helps guide you through performance insights and recommendations, making it easier to identify and resolve issues before they become major problems. Alongside that, we have introduced a completely new Job History Chart that allows you to visualize SQL Agent job performance and scheduling trends in a way that was not possible before.
Indexes are one of the most common areas where performance problems arise, and to address that we now offer Problem Indexes reports at both the instance and database level. These reports make it easy to identify indexing issues, whether they are missing, unused, or fragmented indexes, and to take corrective action more efficiently.
The Backup Size report has also been reworked to provide a clearer view of how your backups are growing and changing over time. In addition, the new Database Backup Time Frames report gives you better insight into when backups are occurring, helping you understand scheduling patterns and potential overlaps. For those who rely on log shipping, we have added a new Log Shipping instance report to provide visibility into the health and stability of your log shipping setup.
As exciting as these new features are, we are also rolling out something brand new alongside this release: the Database Health Monitor Rewards Program. This program is designed to give back to the SQL Server community and to our loyal users who have supported Database Health Monitor over the years. Through this program, users can gain access to exclusive benefits, early access to features, and special rewards as a way of saying thank you.
The release of Database Health Monitor 3.0 marks an important step forward in providing powerful, easy-to-use monitoring tools for SQL Server. Combined with the launch of the rewards program, this update underscores our commitment to continually improving the tools you rely on to keep your SQL Server environment running smoothly.
